Kids Beginners
From 7 years old beginners level
Spanish classes are aimed at children and young people who have had no previous contact with the language or who are at a very basic level. Learning is developed in a progressive, dynamic, and motivating way, always respecting each student's pace.
The main objective is for Spanish to be experienced as a real tool for communication, through meaningful activities, games, guided reading, and proposals adapted to each age group.
Beginner Spanish (from 7 years old)
In this first stage, students begin with the inclusive teaching guide "Lola y Leo", which allows children to approach Spanish in a visual, playful, and structured way.
Through games, routines, songs, and oral dynamics, students develop their first communicative skills in a safe and motivating environment.
At this stage we focus especially on:
Understanding Spanish in everyday contexts.
Basic oral expression for simple needs.
Gradual acquisition of functional vocabulary.
Active participation in group activities.
Confidence in communicating without fear of making mistakes.
Enjoyment of learning through play.
Spanish for young people
In the teenage stage, the learning process continues with more advanced materials, including the "Gente Joven" teaching guide, which allows the language to be worked on in a more structured, contextualised way, closer to adolescents' interests.
Classes encourage real communication and the development of more complete linguistic skills through texts, everyday situations, simple debates, and interactive activities.
At this stage we focus on:
Understanding and producing more complex texts.
Oral expression with greater fluency and coherence.
Vocabulary development in real and current contexts.
Guided reading with age-appropriate materials.
Participation in conversations and group dynamics.
Motivation towards Spanish as a global communication tool.
In this way, Spanish learning is built continuously, accompanying students from their first steps to more advanced levels, always with materials adapted to their age and interests.
Course Information
Classes are organised in blocks of 8 sessions, which usually take place over a period of approximately 3 to 4 months, taking school holidays and public holidays into account.
Progress Monitoring and Assessment
At the end of each period, we share feedback with families on their child's language development and the progress observed in class.
We carry out two formal assessments each year:
At the end of the cycle before the Christmas holidays.
At the end of the cycle before the summer holidays.
Children in the Preschool group and above also have a personal portfolio where their classwork and activities are collected. At the end of each term, they can take it home to share their achievements and progress with their families.
Bookshop and Library
At the entrance of the academy, you will find our bookshop and library. We offer a carefully selected collection of Spanish-language children's books that support language development, essential learning skills, values, and a love of reading.
If you purchase a book, please include the title in the MobilePay payment reference (103972).
Community Library
We also run a community library. Families are welcome to borrow Spanish-language books and to donate books they no longer use.
Library books can be found in the drawers of the bench at the entrance and are easy to identify. Please remember to record any borrowed books on the list provided on the table.
A Few Reminders
Please supervise your children while they are in the entrance area.
If your children would like to read while waiting, they are welcome to use the books available in the library drawers.
We kindly ask that children do not handle or damage books that are for sale in the bookshop.
